MARCO BELLOCCHIO AT CONFERENCE ON “THE MISSING MARKET”

A great director, Marco Bellocchio, takes to the field in support of authors in the context of the new scenario created by digital platforms. The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement will in fact attend the conference entitled The Missing Market. Authors, Producers, Navigators on the Island of the Web in collaboration with Nova/Sole 24 Ore, taking place on Thursday, September 8, at the Venice Lido’s Digital Expo Hotel Excelsior - Sala Stucchi, 15:00.
Speakers include Gaetano Blandini (SIAE Managing Director), Roberto Barzanti (Venice Days President), Carlo Blengino (Nexa), Manlio Mallia (Vice MD SIAE and Director of International Activities, Broadcasting and New Media Deals), Francesco Nonno (Telecom), Andrea Purgatori (100Autori), Luca Sofri (the Post) and Riccardo Tozzi (ANICA Preident).
Authors, screenwriters, directors, producers, journalists, phone company representatives, bloggers and broadcasters will discuss piracy, the management of online rights, sharing and social networks, just a few days before the expiration of the 60 days of the public consultation opened by the Italian Communications Authority on its measure on protecting author’s rights (still to be assessed by the European Commission and the World Intellectual Property Organization- WIPO).
