VENICE DAYS YEAR 8
In the name of freedom
Independent, auteur and creative cinema has for seven years found a
home in Venice and its flag at Venice Days, a free space promoted by
the Italian filmmakers associations ANAC and 100 Autori. The
world’s oldest festival features the prominent surprises of
tomorrow’s cinema. We are an autonomous section of the Venice Film
Festival and can take top talent down the path to success.
Venice Days 2011 will take place at the 68. Mostra. Deadline for
submission is July 11th.
► 12 films in the official selection;
► daily special events;
► theme-based evenings at the Screen under the Stars;
► workshops and international panels;
► Venice Days films will compete for the parallel prizes. Debut films are eligible for the Lion of the
Future;
► exclusive MEDIA Programme’s Label Europa Cinémas is given
to an European film from our selection.
