Denis Villeneuve
made his feature debut in 1998 with Un 32 août sur Terre, which was selected at numerous festivals, including Cannes (Un Certain Regard), Telluride and Toronto. He followed it up with Maelström, which also played international festivals, such as Sundance and Toronto, and won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2001 Berlinale.
