Marion Hänsel
A producer-director (Marseille, 1949) of French origin, Marion Hänsel grew up in Antwerp, Belgium. In 1977 she set up Man's Films and began producing her own films, beginning with her first short, Equilibres. As well as films of directors such as Danis Tanovic (including 2001 Oscar winner No Man’s Land and Cirkus Columbia, also selected at Venice Days 2010), Jacques Doillon (La puritaine, 1985) and Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, 2007). As a director, in 1983 she won the Silver Lion at the Venice film Festival for Dust, based on a novel by J. M.
