PINO DONAGGIO RECEIVES SIAE CREATIVITY AWARD AT VENICE 2010

On Wednesday, September 8 at 7 pm, in the Sala Darsena on the Lido, Giorgio Assumma, presidente of the Società Italiana Autori Editori, will present the Venice SIAE Award for Creativity to Maestro Pino Donaggio for having contributed with his music to spreading Italian cinema throughout the world.

Donaggio is one of Italy’s most prolific songwriters and composers and has written music for the likes of Elvis Presley, Brian De Palma, Dario Argento, Joe Dante, Nicholas Roeg, David Shmoeller, Sergio Rubini, Pupi Avati and Liliana Cavani.

In past years, the Venice SIAE Award for Creativity was presented to Michelangelo Antonioni, Matteo Garrone and Paolo Sorrentino and Nicola Piovani.

The award ceremony will be followed by the screening of the Venice Days film Et in terra pax by Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini.
