DEBUTTING IN EUROPE

A discussion between young European producers and filmmakers on directing first and second films in various European countries, and their personal experiences. AGPC (Association of Young Producers) and 100Autori, which together organized and are promoting the event, will present to institutions and the press Commedia all’italiana - Esordire in Europe (which will screen at the Filmmakers Villa on September 3 at 10 pm). Produced by AGPC and made by 100Autori, the documentary directed by Matteo Berdini and co-written with Giacomo Durzi – who will moderate the discussion, beginning with a bitter reflection on the state of the Italian audiovisual sector – looks at cinema-related cultural policy in France, Germany, Spain and Romania. Through interviews with institutional figures, young producers, emerging directors, distributors and exhibitors, the film also offers an overview on the current situation of emerging European cinema.
