synopsis
Lisetta Carmi is one of the most important photographers of Italian and international history. Her photographs, her vision of the world, her passionate works that was in countertendency to 1960s and 70s society have left a mark on the art world still today. Lisetta Carmi, “a soul on the road” in constant search of the truth in the people and world around her. “[The film] was a necessary journey for me not only in capturing the work of a great photographer, but also the humanity of a person who chose to dedicate her ‘many lives’ to others with never-ending, courageous commitment.” (Daniele Segre)We all know the pretty Morena, to whom the first verse of Via del Campo is dedicated, from the wonderful photo by Lisetta Carmi, the [Fabrizio] De Andrè of photography.
