Marco Risi
Son of Dino Risi, Marco Risi made his directorial debut in 1982 with Vado a vivere da solo. After other comedies, Risi changed genres, and directed realistic and dramatic films, such as Mery per sempre (1989) and Ragazzi fuori (1990, David di Donatello Award for Best Director).
In 1991, directing Muro di gomma, a film which reconstructs the 1980's tragedy at Ustica, Risi brought his accusations against the Italian legal system to the big screen.
In 1998 he again changed genres with the shooting of L'ultimo capodanno, a film noir based on a story by Niccolò Ammaniti.
In 2001 with Tre mogli he followed father's example in directing a "commedia all'italiana".
Thanks to a co-production between Spain and Argentina, Marco Risi is resuming in 2004 a project of several years before, a film on the life of the football star, Diego Armando Maradona.
