First time director, in Venice for the premiere of his film, questioned by the reporter of 35mm, declares: Can we consider your film, Il giorno del falco, a filmed commentary of the North East?
If that were the case I would really be talented but I don’t think it can be considered in this way. Perhaps it would be more correct to say that it is about a glance, perhaps not by an author but certainly by a very curious person. When I discovered that I live in a place that is no different from Los Angeles, in a sort of Disneyland of the North East, I understood that it isn’t necessary to go far.
In my film the extraordinary installation of the Golden Lions of the Cinema Building is missing – a sublime shot. It could be the poster for my film: the reiteration of the Lion… of Gold.
Then you move onto the mainland and you see a whole other series of suggestive delirious and phantasmagorical attractions. The important thing is to try to change the bad into the good; to change the untenable to your advantage and make it extraordinary matter for someone else.

The presentation of the film in Venice has been attended by the whole cast, including producers Ermanno Olmi (Ipotesi Cinema) and Giancarlo Leone (head of Rai Cinema).
