#1 - DAMIEN ODOUL
06/09/2004
“My film is old. It is from 1992 but I believe it is very current in the story it tells. It is a story of resistance and it is against violence. At this time in Italy, as well as in France and other countries, we are living in a sort of loose fascism. It is, therefore, very important, particularly when small, low budget, independent films are made, that these films be acts of resistance. I think that the real act of resistance for an author today is to have the strength to make films, show them and immediately establish a relationship with the public. This is the only way to grant the public real, free words which are far from the lies of politics and government. I think this is, at this moment, necessary for humanity itself.”
