Germano Maccioni
Germano Maccioni (Bologna, 1978) has worked as an actor in the theatre and cinema with, among others, Giancarlo Cobelli, Kim Rossi Stuart, Sonia Bergamasco and Franco Branciaroli. In 2001 he studied at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre. He became interested in film directing after participating in a workshop held by Marco Bechis. In 2006 he directed his first documentary, Ming, on the life of Italian Resistance fighter Carlo Venturi. He wrote and directed a traveling play staged in Monte Sole on April 25, 2006. Lo stato di eccezione is his feature debut.
