Federico Bacci Federico Bacci was born in Livorno. He has lived in Florence for several years, where he has been a freelance video director. In 2003, he collaborated with Edoardo Gabriellini and Lorenzo Tripodi on the screenplay for the film B.B. e il cormorano, which participated in the International Critic’s Week of the Cannes Film Festival.
The initial question that got us going was: why aren’t Petri’s films available. Why does this filmmaker, who intelligently depicted man’s condition in the 1960s and 1970s and who has had his share of awards and recognitions, as well as criticism and slandering – seem to have disappeared from that collective memory which has become Italian cinema.
(Federico Bacci, Nicola Guarneri, Stefano Leone)
