VENICE DAYS IN CANNES

In Cannes GIORNATE DEGLI AUTORI – VENICE DAYS chooses the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, the independent, self-managed section promoted by the association of French directors, which was the direct inspiration for the Venice showcase. Since it´s creation last year, the Venice Days´ Presidency, Roberto Barzanti, Citto Maselli and Emidio Greco, has built up a relationship with its ideal French twin, directed by Olivier Père, as well as with the Berlin Forum and its director, Christoph Terhechte.
So, for 12 days the Venice Days´ flag will be flying above the Hotel Noga Hilton on the Croisette, the Quinzaine’s current base. The Italian section will be located in the ItaliaCannes05 space (first floor).
Here GIORNATE DEGLI AUTORI- VENICE DAYS will be organising events and meeting directors, sector professionals and journalists to prepare the September appointment on the Lido in the best way possible. The Venetian showcase will be held at the Casinò (Sala Perla) and the Authors´ Villa (next to the Hotel Excelsior), once again in agreement with the Venice Biennale.
