synopsis
Sébastian, a young man, has decided to follow instructions intended for someone else, without knowing where they will take him. Something else he does not know is that Gérard Dorez, a cop on a knife-edge, is tailing him
When he reaches his destination, Sèbastian falls into a degenerate, clandestine world of mental chaos behind closed doors in which men gamble on the lives of others men…
Gela Babluani's first film is a real exercice de style in black and white. Director of photography Tariel Meliava shows a neat and clever talent at contrasts while his lighting subtly underlines the characters' emotions. Director Babluani reveals a strong talent at telling a story whose overwhelming tragic development needs indeed very little words. The leading actor, the young George Babluani, lends his angelic face to this dramatic part of an adventurous 22 year old. As a director, Gela Babluani cuts a kind of tragic Jean-Pierre Mocky figure.
